Guidelines to ensure a disciplined, safe, and productive learning environment for all students at Saraswati International School.

Attendance and Punctuality Requirements

  • Students must maintain a minimum attendance of 75% to be eligible for examinations.
  • Late arrivals are discouraged; students must be on time for school and all scheduled activities.
  • A valid reason, supported by a written application from parents, is required for absences.
  • Unauthorized leave or habitual absenteeism may lead to disciplinary action.
  • Attendance during special events, assemblies, and examinations is compulsory.

Uniform and Dress Code Policy

  • Students must wear the prescribed school uniform neatly and appropriately every day.
  • Boys: Well-ironed uniform, clean shoes, and properly groomed hair.
  • Girls: Properly ironed uniform, clean shoes, and neatly tied hair.
  • Jewelry, excessive accessories, or inappropriate hairstyles are not permitted.
  • On special activity days, students may wear prescribed sports attire or casual clothing as per school guidelines.

Code of Conduct

(Discipline, Respect, Behavior)

  • Respect for teachers, staff, and peers is expected at all times.
  • Bullying, discrimination, and inappropriate behavior are strictly prohibited.
  • Students must handle school property with care and report any damages immediately.
  • Misconduct or violation of school rules may result in warnings, counseling, or disciplinary action.
  • A culture of honesty, kindness, and responsibility is encouraged among students.

Mobile Phone and Gadget Policy

  • Mobile phones, smartwatches, and electronic gadgets are not allowed in school. If a student is found using a mobile phone or gadget, it will be confiscated and returned only to parents.
  • The school provides technology-integrated learning; hence, personal devices are not necessary.
  • Emergency calls can be made through the school office.

Examination and Grading Rules

  • Students must attend all scheduled exams and assessments unless medically unfit.
  • Any form of cheating, malpractice, or unfair means will result in strict disciplinary action.
  • Continuous assessment includes written exams, practical tests, projects, and Note-book evaluations.
  • Results are communicated to parents through report cards and periodic parent-teacher meetings.
  • Students must adhere to academic integrity and give their best effort in all evaluations.

English-Speaking Policy

  • English is the official medium of communication within the school campus.
  • Students must converse in English during school hours, except during language classes.
  • Teachers and staff will monitor adherence and encourage students to improve fluency.
  • Repeated non-compliance may lead to corrective measures, including reminders and participation in extra language sessions.

Parents Responsibility & Involvement

  • Parents play a crucial role in their child’s educational journey, and active involvement in school activities is key to a child’s success.
  • Ensuring Regular Attendance and Punctuality: Parents are responsible for ensuring their child attends school regularly and arrives on time.
  • Providing Necessary Academic Support at Home: Assist with homework, encourage good study habits, and create a positive learning environment.
  • Encouraging Participation in Extracurricular Activities: Motivate children to explore talents in sports, arts, and clubs for holistic development.
  • Attending Parent-Teacher Meetings and School Events: stay informed about progress and show support for the school community.
  • Communicating with School Authorities: Promptly address concerns related to child’s welfare, behavior, or academic performance.
  • Following Hostel Visit Rules: For boarding students, parents must follow visiting rules to ensure safety and well-being.
